All day Monday, Ruby was nesting…in the bushes, with blankets, and in a hollow tree– trying to find the perfect birthing place. At 4 o clock in the morning, Ruby woke me up and told me (in true canine fashion) that she was ready to have her puppies! She delivered her first puppy at about 5:30. Three and a half hours later, Ruby, a tired but much happier dog, was finished bringing her puppies into the world…all 7 of them! Now she is proudly taking care of her babies so they will be PERFECT by the time they are ready for “homecoming day”!
