Lori writes – Do you remember how I told you a while ago that Henry is SO attached to his “baby” (he came home from your house with it in his care package)? Well he is still as attached as ever to it. He sleeps with it, carries it around with him in the morning and before bed (this picture is Henry getting ready for bed). He loves this stuffed dog so much! Sometimes he nibbles on it and puts little holes in it, but we just sew it up and give it back! Can you see that the whole nose has been replaced? ๐ Oh well…I don’t know what he would do if he didn’t have it, so we will just keep sewing it for him.
Morning – We have a good routine in the mornings (he is a very routine dog, which I love because I’m a routine person). We wake up, spend time cuddling while I drink my coffee and watch the news, and then he gets a peanut butter kong while I shower. We typically spend about 35 minutes cuddling after we wake up…and boy does he know if I try to cut cuddle time short! While I am getting ready, Henry lays under my vanity and snoozes while I finish up (this is a picture of him from this morning…look at that face; it’s hard to resist not staying home and cuddling with him every day).
Outside – Henry loves the cold weather! He will just sit outside in the sun during the afternoons, or we will go for long walks around the neighborhood. Even though he loves the cold weather…he can’t wait for summer so that he can go swimming again!!
Lazy Sunday – Henry loves Lazy Sundays! Most Sundays (and sometimes Saturdays too), we will do some chores/errands in the morning, and then around noon, Henry and I can be found laying together in the chair/ottoman taking an afternoon nap. We just can’t get enough cuddle time ๐ Notice all of the toys spread across the living room in this picture…and can you see his food bowl tipped over in front of the TV stand? Henry does not like to eat his food out of the bowl; he has to knock it over onto the carpet, bury it with his blanked (brown and teal right by his food in the picture) and then he will eat it. I’ll have to video tape this sometime for you. I’m not exactly sure how this started, but this is now his normal eating routine…he’s too funny! ๐
Graduate – Henry just graduated from Basic Obedience class last week ๐ We are so proud of him! He’s such a good boy (most of the time!). He still enjoys paper (toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, any kind of paper product) way too much…but other than that he has really calmed down over the past year and grown up a lot. Even when he is bad, it’s so hard to be mad at him because he is so darn cute ๐
